Why Hinge?

Michael Zivot created Hinge in 2007 based on one simple premise - it is that organizations, as well as people, are stronger together. That is why Hinge is a Partnership Marketing company.

 

Just like hinges open doors and windows, Hinge opens clients to opportunity and efficiency that otherwise would not be available. Another way to look at us is that, if you were building a home, we would be a mix of your architect and your general contractor.

While the premise continues to be valid in the private sector, Hinge changed its focus toward the Not-For-Profit world in January 2017. Maybe it is a maturity thing, but it just feels right to apply the same type of thinking to help people - as well as businesses.

While corporations often want to enhance brand image through credible association, foundations or NGOs, in the end, often want funding through brand awareness.

Most companies practice Corporate Social Responsibility because it is consistent with their values. That makes them good.  Most NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) or Foundations do really good work but often lack sufficient resources. We believe that we can support the transition from really good to even better through strategy, partnership and tools. For Not-For-Profits, this will help you 'sell more' by increasing your awareness and fundraising.  For businesses, this will not only increase your social impact but also help you sell more by enhancing your public image (including with investors) and increasing your employee engagement.
